Sunday’s Runners

Ballycross 2.55pm Uttoxeter

“I do like him and he has schooled well enough at home ahead of this Beginners’ Chase but sadly for us this race has attracted some pretty decent sorts, so I cannot possibly be confident. Although he should acquit himself well he will also be better for the experience.”

Mont Choisy 3.35pm Uttoxeter

“Returning from a long while off after suffering a hairline fracture, he is very well in himself at home and won’t be disgraced. In my opinion he does seem more than high enough in the weights at the moment and lets face it, there is no substitution for race fitness.”

Big Casino 4.10pm Uttoxeter

“He is without doubt a very good horse and I still think we can win a few more races with him at the age of ten and beyond. He has had a well deserved break after finishing fourth at Ffos Las in June and is buzzing again at home, and looks to be my best chance of a winner this afternoon.”

Bring Back Charlie 5.40pm Uttoxeter

“He will win races but in my view is more than high enough in the weights at present when you remember he is still a maiden. I gave him a decent break which he seems to have appreciated and he is in good form on the gallops, but I’m not as confident as the media who have him forecast as a short priced favourite! ”
