Nigel Twiston-Davies – My Runners 23rd September 2017

Nigel Twiston-Davies Weekly Column

After a quiet spell for the yard we spoke to Nigel this morning about his one runner this weekend and broke the great news that we have contributed over £1800 to the Injured Jockeys Fund via our charity bets (plus your kind donations) which he was absolutely delighted with.

Nigel’s Charity Bet

As always, we’ve given Nigel a £50 charity bet to place on a horse of his choice – and this week it will be on……

Arthur McBride 3.10pm Newmarket  Saturday

“He may be an eight-year-old but he certainly doesn’t owe us anything after winning at odds of  3/1 at Goodwood last time out, and I am hoping for another winning run this afternoon, despite the handicapper putting him up extra three pounds. He comes here to use this as a  genuine trial for the Cesarewitch next month which has been his long-term target, and I have booked Liam Keniry to ride him here for the third time as they seem to get on really well. Any overnight rain will only help his chances of success  and the softer the better, and I am fully expecting another big run.”

If Arthur McBride wins, we’ll donate the winnings to the Injured Jockeys Fund!

Nigel Twiston-Davies will be back each and every week with his thoughts exclusively for myracing.com as well as every day over the major meetings! To see what our tipsters are backing in all the weekend’s races, check out our free daily horse racing tips!
