Nigel Twiston-Davies – My Runners 21st September 2016

As we spoke to Nigel this morning he was in a particularly jolly mood and reported that they were about 50 miles from Perth bringing in the horses for this afternoon’s action.  With a strike rate of 20% at the track he was clearly looking forward to adding to that and below is what he told us about his runners chances.

Nigel’s Charity Bet

Northandsouth 2.55pm Perth 9/4

A £50 bet will be placed on the nose and any returns given to the Injured Jockeys Fund

Wednesday’s Runners

Northandsouth and Sword Of The Lord 2.55pm Perth

“They both arrive with chances but I would have to say that Northandsouth has the better chance of the two ahead of his chasing debut. He has schooled vey nicely at home and jumps well, and although you can never be confident in these races he looks like my best chance of a winner this afternoon. Sword Of The Lord is here on merit and will go well and I might even get the one two, though that might be pushing my luck. ”

Kilronan High 4.05pm Perth

“She is a very nice mare trying three miles for the first time this afternoon but we won’t know for certain if she gets the trip until after the race. She is working well enough at home but has been off a long time (since early May) and her race fitness could be an issue though I have done everything I can with her on the gallops, so fingers crossed.”

Goodbye Dancer and Frontier Vic 4.40pm Perth

“They pretty much sit at opposite ends of the handicap and there honestly isn’t that much between the pair of them on recent home work. If I had to pick one (and I was forced to), then Frontier Vic probably just edges it  and the bookmakers think the same way and have him priced up as the favourite this morning. He certainly stays this trip and then some so stamina is not an issue but he has been off for some time. Goodbye Dancer is a useful tool and will go well enough as well and could surprise us all but it is a competitive race and I’ll be happy enough if either of them win or even place today.”
