Nigel Twiston-Davies – My Runners 20th & 21st May 2017

Nigel Twiston-Davies Weekly Column

Equally busy Sunday as Saturday this week for the Twiston-Davies stable but with an insight in to all of his runners, there is plenty worth reading again this week.

Nigel’s Charity Bet

Bangor 4.15pm Saturday – Aldeburgh at 10/1 to win

“He really does need good ground to be seen at his best so no rain please as far as we are concerned. He has a really solid chance in my opinion if he gets his going, and is well worthy of being nominated as the charity bet this weekend.”

If Aldeburgh wins , we’ll donate the winnings to the Injured Jockeys Fund!

Saturday

Thirsk 4.30pm Unblinking

“A bit of a disappointing sort who is proving very hard to place. He will try his best as always but whether that is good enough remains to be seen and I cannot suggest even a small bet under those circumstances.”

Uttoxeter 7.35pm Northandsouth

“He has been very disappointing lately but is better than that at home so we will be trying different tactics here. He is going to try to make all the running before he heads off to the sales at Doncaster next week, so if anyone reading this is interested feel free to put in a bid.”

Sunday

Stratford 2.45pm Celestial Dancer

“A Mares only novice selling hurdle tells its own story and I am afraid she is not one of my better horses.  Could go well in a poor race but another I cannot suggest a bet for.”

Market Rasen 2.55pm Allthegear No Idea

“I really think a lot of him and I am hoping we have found a weak race this afternoon that he is more than capable of winning, He should go very well and may add to the winners tally for the season with a bit of luck.”
