Nigel Twiston-Davies – My Runners 19th August 2017

Nigel Twiston-Davies Weekly Column

Nigel is back from a mini-break thanks to the lack of jump racing last week and has the one runner this Saturday, but he sounded pretty keen on his chances which is all we can add!

Nigel’s Charity Bet

As always, we’ve given Nigel a £50 charity bet to place on a horse of his choice – and this week it will be on……

Little Pop 7.00pm Market Rasen Saturday

“Just the five runners here which simply has to increase out chances, and it looks likely my nine-year-old will go off at the head of the market. His last two runs have been over hurdles but I am bringing him back over fences here and have added a tongue tie just to aid his breathing a little. He hasn’t done anything wrong and is in good form at home on the schooling grounds, and although he is carrying three pounds more from the handicapper after his Southwell win in June, he is in good heart and I am pretty hopeful he can win make all the running and win on Saturday evening.”

If Little Pop wins, we’ll donate the winnings to the Injured Jockeys Fund!

Nigel Twiston-Davies will be back each and every week with his thoughts exclusively for myracing.com as well as every day over the major meetings! To see what our tipsters are backing in all the weekend’s races, check out our free daily horse racing tips!
