Nigel Twiston-Davies – My Runners 18th June 2016

A blissfully quite time here at Grange Hill Farm with no runners again this weekend, though I did have a couple of winners at Ffos Las last night, I hope you noticed?

At least that gives me the chance to properly celebrate the Royal Ascot victory of Primitivo in the King George V Stakes on Thursday afternoon, trained by fellow National Hunt trainer Alan King and ridden by my son Willie – I honestly couldn’t be a more proud father right now, and the win is still sinking in!

As for my horses, as I said nothing this weekend but I am planning to run Novemberstorm at Worcester next Wednesday in a bumper, and although the field is obviously an unknown at this stage, he did finish a good second in his first National Hunt Flat race, and I would be hopeful he has a good chance of going one better here.

Nigel Twiston-Davies will be back each and every week with his thoughts exclusively for myracing.com as well as every day over the major meetings! To see what our tipsters are backing in all the weekend’s races, check out our free daily horse racing tips!
