Nigel Twiston-Davies: My Runners 14th and 15th May 2016

A busy weekend for the Twiston-Davies stable with runners both days, at Uttoxeter and Stratford. Nigel was in a particularly good mood this morning, and all is well in the stable …..

If he wins, a donation  will be sent to the Injured Jockeys Fund.

Saturday

Wicked Willie 5.30pm Uttoxeter

“This is quite a hot race and wont be easy to win by any stretch but we hope he has a good chance on his best form and is a nice improving horse that we think a bit of at home. That said, we don’t know just how good the others are, so we can’t be over confident.”

Belmount 6.30pm Uttoxeter

“A good old fashioned staying chaser any rain overnight would help his cause and increase his chances of success. He has been running really well recently and was second on his last two starts (both at Ffos Las) and although this is a really hot contest, we are hoping he will run well once again.”

Northandsouth 7.30pm Uttoxeter

“With the going today expected to suit I am really hoping for a big run from the son of Spadoun, though a maximum sixteen runner field makes life that little bit more interesting. We like him a lot at home and he may yet be our best chance of a winner this afternoon.”

Count Meribel 8.30pm Uttoxeter

“He ran a lot better than his finishing position lay suggest at Wincanton when fifth to Touch Kick where he was as green as grass. He should improve an awful lot for the experience and a decent run is expected though there are plenty of other runners in similar position so we shall have to wait and see. ”

Sunday

Bar A Mine 2.20pm Stratford

“Sam rides and he could place if absolutely everything goes his way but it’s a tricky race and I am not exactly over confident”

Sybarite 4.00pm Stratford

“Seems in good form at home and stays for ever. No doubt he will drop himself out the back as usual and then come with a late run (sometimes too late), but this is potentially the worst race he has run in for a long time and he could yet surprise us all!”
