Monday’s highlights: Follow Mullins at Killarney, 50/1 Royal Ascot tip and Catterick front-runners

We’ve got a pretty busy Monday on our hands this week and the majority of the action takes place in the evening. Willie Mullins is the man to follow at Killarney and you can check out his runners here and there’s a training duo who are 2/2 at Catterick so far this season. Liam Bramall has also picked out an ante-post Royal Ascot tip who could be massive value at 50/1 and some Catterick front-runners. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

Willie Mullins at Killarney

Ireland’s best National Hunt trainer landed a treble at Killarney on Saturday and he’s set to send four runners to the County Kerry course on Monday. Livio won a Grade 3 bumper on debut in France and expectations will be high on his first start over hurdles, with Paul Townend on board.

Mr Hollywood was a very smart performer on the Flat in France and Germany and he makes his debut for Mullins in the 2m4f novice hurdle, with Townend riding Columbus in the same race. Gentleman De Mee brings a high level of form to the table in the feature Grade 3 chase.

Training duo 2/2 at Catterick this season

Joel Parkinson & Sue Smith are unbeaten on the Flat at Catterick this season and Free Pic provided both of their successes. She will bid to complete the hat-trick here and has every chance of obliging off just a 3lb higher mark. Their other runner Tickhill Flyer has his work cut out for him.

Catterick front-runners

There’s a bit of pace bias at Catterick and those who race prominently tend to have a significant advantage. Betties Bay landed a hat-trick of wins on the all-weather and was up with the pace on all three occasions, making all the running at Wolverhampton in January.

Many of Irish Dancer‘s best efforts have come when racing up with the pace and the six-year-old’s third at Southwell last time out is amongst the best recent form on offer in the 4.00.

Royal Ascot ante-post pick

Causeway (50/1, bet365) is progressing very nicely this term and the Aidan O’Brien-trained colt could be the next Paddington. He won a Listed contest over a mile last time out and a return to the Curragh for the Irish 2000 Guineas could be next on the agenda and he won’t be 50/1 for long if winning there.
