Jockey with 47% strike-rate in the last two weeks has sole Monday ride

Pontefract races

After an incredible day of racing at Longchamp, we return to normality on Monday. There’s five meetings to look forward too, with Lingfield, Stratford, Pontefract, Tipperary and Wolverhampton all on the agenda. We’ll have horse racing tips for all the action, including a NAP of the Day.

One jockey who has caught the eye in recent weeks is five-pound claimer Adam Farragher. He’s enjoyed an incredible run of things, with eight winners from his last seventeen rides. That includes a treble at Chester on Saturday and he has just one ride on Monday at Pontefract. You can find all the key details about his mount below!

2.44 Pontefract – Leslie Burton (Fisher) Handicap

Farragher rode a pair of winners for William Haggas at Chester on Saturday and he teams up with Haggas again to ride Angel Amadea. She’s yet to score in four racecourse visits, but she’s run to a very good standard and that opening victory isn’t far away.

Placing in her first three maiden and novice runs, she went down at odds of 30/100 on the latter occasion, though that form hasn’t worked out badly since with the winner finishing second in a handicap off 82. She makes her handicap debut off 75 today and that mark looks attractive.

She’s fitted with the first-time tongue-tie for her debut in this sphere and a return to the mile is certainly in her favour. She’s unlikely to have an issue with the softer ground and Haggas has string in rampant form. 18 winners from his last 52 runners equates to a remarkable 35% strike-rate and a level stakes profit of £11.82.

After just four starts, she’s totally unexposed, and looks set to kick on now she’s pitched into handicap company.
