Jockey Focus – In-Form Riders For The Weekend + 535/1 Acca

Muntahaa and Jim Crowley winning the Ebor at York 2018

We’re treated to some fantastic action this weekend, with the Ebor Meeting reaching its climax and some brilliant racing at Saratoga, where they host six Grade 1 races. We’ve combed through the statistics for the last seven days to find you the jockeys in fantastic form, so you can have a (hopefully) profitable Saturday and Sunday! You can find all the details below, and if you’re looking for our ITV Racing Tips, these can also be found on-site now!

Tony Hamilton

Winning on four of his last ten mounts, Tony Hamilton has been in brilliant form in the last seven days and has three rides at York on Saturday. That includes a ride on Forest Ranger in the opening Strensall Stakes, and although he’s the outsider, he was second in the race twelve months ago and is capable at his very best.

Jim Crowley

Winning a pair of races on Friday, including aboard scintillating performance from Battaash in the Nunthorpe, Jim Crowley arrives at the final of the Ebor Festival as a man in form. He only has the two rides on the Knavesmire, with his best chance looking to be aboard Sir Michael Stoute’s Commonwealth Cup winner Eqtidaar, who has had breathing surgery after a few recent poor performances. It’ll be interesting to see whether the market speaks positively in his favour!

Oisin Murphy

It’s no surprise to see Oisin Murphy on the list, riding the most out of all jockeys in the past seven days, he actually has a 23% strike rate, with 50% of his mounts in the placings. That’s some frightening form and he has some brilliant chances at both Goodwood and Windsor, riding ten times throughout the day. Queen Power is the favourite for the Winter Hill and looks to be his best chance, as she’s improving rapidly and receives plenty of weight.
