It was a big night at Wimbledon on Thursday as trainers, owners and punters’ alike all put their faith on their English Derby hopefuls. The first tip of the night was Domino Storm (Next Best & Acca) in the 7.25pm and the advised 8/15 turned out to be an amazing price. The dog was smashed into 4/11 FAV right before the off and he made no mistake when the lids opened, powering clear after the first bend to win very cosily. We also tipped this dog up at 50/1 for the Derby Ante Post so it was twice the fun! Domino Storm was the first dog in the Acca and we were off to a flyer.

Our greyhound expert could not believe the price of Droopy’s Roddick in the 7.39pm. He put the dog coming out of Trap 4 up as a Single at 9/4 and he was also the second bet in our Acca. He broke well and tracked the leader around the first two bends before making his challenge turning for home. He has a huge engine so we knew once he was close coming for home, he would go on to win. We were now 2/2 on the Acca and the entire night rested on the NAP.

The NAP was Eden The Kid in the 8.42pm and the excitement at MRT Headquarters was relentless. We were sent in betting slips from everywhere with people waiting on this dog to make their night, or of course, break their night. Our greyhound tipster suddenly went offline; He said his internet cut out but I am certain that he was pacing up and down the living room with a bottle of vodka in his hands. Our NAP had drifted out to 5/4 from the advised 10/11 so we were starting to get a little nervous.

However, when Eden The Kid pinged out of the lids, we knew we were on to a winner! He went on to win very convincingly and all of a sudden, our greyhound experts’ internet was fixed. Our last Single of the night then went on to win at the advised 7/4 to top off an incredible night! We took the bookmakers’ to the cleaners.
