6.30 Roscommon

Nectarine (20-1, William Hill) has finished fourth on her last two starts and is consequently sliding down the handicap. Her current mark of 79 is closer to her winning mark of 73 than any rating she has been on since. She is also in receipt of a massive weight allowance which could help her to return to winning ways. Even if it’s not in this race, she looks like she should be winning again soon so she could be one to keep an eye on.

7.10 Windsor

Lawn Ranger (25-1, Paddy Power) was on the receiving end of a poor ride two starts ago and ran an absolute blinder in spite of that. He’s now down to a mark which is 3lb lower than his last winning one. That victory came over course and distance and provided he’s ridden like the trip is 1m2f and not a mile he should have a great chance as he now looks well handicapped.

7.30 Roscommon

Shedini (20-1, William Hill) is incredibly lightly raced for a five-year-old. Mick Halford’s gelding has had just six career starts and two of those have been in handicaps. You can forgive his effort on seasonal debut if you can put it down to needing the run. Rather intriguingly, this horse is slipping down the handicap quickly and is now rated 9lb lower than when he made his handicap debut. He could be one to keep an eye on.

7.40 Windsor

It’s fair to say that Waleyfa‘s (22-1, Paddy Power) third at Lingfield on just her second handicap start has worked out well. The horse she finished second to has gone on to record a hat-trick at Dundalk since moving to Gordon Elliott. This filly is lightly raced and unexposed having had just five career starts and there’s surely more to come off this mark of 69.
