Tips for Windsor Races

Windsor is a Flat only racecourse, also known as Royal Windsor Racecourse, in the shadow of Windsor Castle. Accessible by boat from the town centre (as well as more traditional methods), it often hosts high profile bands after race meetings as evening entertainment. Course: An unusual figure of eight course, it features straight tracks for five and six furlong races, and tight bends for all races run over further. Flat and fair, our tips will often include runners from high profile stables given Windsor’s strong two year old program.

Draw Bias: On soft going, our tips are often favoured if they are drawn high and near to the far rail where the going can be slightly better.

Feature Race: The feature race of the year at Windsor races is the Winter Hill Stakes. A Group 3 run over one mile and two furlongs, it is the only Group race at the track. It was won by Al Kazeem in 2014 who won a total of £1,500,000 prize money including the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup twice.
