Sunday – A day of rest, relaxation and unwinding and also landing a massive £351 Acca!

How We Did It

The first leg of the Acca was Eziyra, the Dermot Weld trained filly who looked a very strong prospect on paper and was backed into an starting price of 5/4 from 13/8 when we tipped her up. She travelled extremely well under Derby winning jockey Pat Smullen and kept to the standside in her bid to win the C.L. & M.F. Weld Park Stakes. She always looked the winner and kept on very well despite swishing her tail in the final furlong. That was 1 in, 2 to go!

The second leg brought us to Epsom for our Early Value Tip & Daily NAP – Medieval, under the potential Champion Jockey Jim Crowley. It looked a tricky task when the price drifted from 7/4 out to 11/4 but we remained confident. Crowley was keen to lead and made an early move to take it from Max Zorin. After this we were sitting pretty, the combination of knowing that Crowley is more than capable from the front and the comfort with which the horse was travelling we began to dream! Crowley kept enough in the tank to repel all finishers and land the spoils!

The final leg of the Acca was The Happy Prince at the Curragh in the Group 3 Renaissance Stakes. Another who was a little uneasy at the market going off at 11/4 from 9/4. After previous runs we knew if we were prominent in the race we had a big chance. Ryan Moore popped out of the stalls and went for the early lead. Setting a nice pace, before being scrubbed along inside the final furlong to seal the victory and send our followers into ecstasy!
