Our prediction and analysis are below for Nuka’s race.

9.24pm Crayford 07/10/2017 A4 Grade

Galtee Elsa – Caused a 14/1 surprise when taking advantage of trouble in behind in A5 grade two runs back. She was a double figure price once more last week when making her debut in this grade. She is still too close to season to be a massive threat here unless there is carnage on her outside once more.

Sleek Vixen – Progressed nicely at Shelbourne before trialling in at Crayford in smart fashion. She found things tougher when missing the break on her debut but she isn’t exactly surrounded by early pace in the early stages. Capable of playing a part with a clear so needs to be on her game at the lids.

Poormans Pride – Lacks the early kick to go with them over this trip in the early stages. Has a little more early when tried over further but he struggles to get home over 540 so he is very much between trips at Crayford, he doesn’t make much appeal.

Fitzlerseemytail – Regular winner, she scored at this level back in June. She has solid early pace, a regular in the early 3.60’s so she should be up there on the run to the bend. She was impressive when scoring in A5 last month in a slick 23.64, a time that would see her winning this if able to repeat.

Fast Pixie – Does the majority of her running over further, finding trouble early on her first try at this trip last time out. There are others in here who have her measure to the bend, but with that run having blown away the cobwebs, she should be finishing to good effect.

Droopys Nuka – Missed the kick from 5 last time out as she generally does from that berth, getting into early bother. She should do better on the trapping stakes here back in stripes and with a slow starter inside in 5, she will have plenty of room to operate in on the run to the bend. This level has proved beyond her so far so although she should be in the mix, she needs a little more.

Conclusion

This will be Nuka’s eighth try at this A4 level, still searching for that elusive breakthrough. She has been runner-up in four of her seven tries in the grade so she certainly wouldn’t be winning out of turn. She should be able to lead them up, that gives her the best possible chance of scoring tonight. Both 2 and 4 have smart form in the book, if either were able to turn without a bump in behind, then they would be huge dangers.
