£89 Saturday Win Acca LANDED!

myracing.com 4 fold acumulator landed for £89!

We landed our first Acca of December in style on Saturday! Alongside our Channel 4 Double as well as 14/1 & 7/2 winners the Acca was very much the cherry on top of a great day!

How We Did It

The first leg of our acca started with the first race of the day at 11:45am Lingfield Park. We backed Mr Scaramanga for the in-form Dow yard, he also had the assistance of the champion jockey Jim Crowley. Having ran respectably behind star 2 year-olds, Churchill & Boynton, this looked like a penalty kick. We had a nervous wait as the fog engulfed most of the track but when Crowley and his mount came out of the fog the top weight had taken the lead and was staying on well as the bottom weight gave chase in 2nd. 1 down at 1/3 odds.

The second leg of the Acca was the classy Buveur D’air who was entered in the 12:20pm at Haydock.  Some of the followers were a touch nervous about this selection as it was his first start over fences but we knew if he took to them as well as he did with other codes that he would take all the beating. Our selection had gained Black-Type while plying his trade in both bumpers & hurdles. The JP McManus horse then became subject of a drift, all the way out from 8/15 when we tipped to a 10/11 SP, this meant even more followers were beginning to get suspicious. There was plenty of support behind Brian Hughes’ mount Cloudy Dream. But Aidan Coleman ran his own race and sat in third for most of the race while Cloudy Dream tackled Chic Name for the lead. Coleman bided his time before travelling up and pinging the last and showed a far superior turn of foot to put the race to bed and make a winning debut over fences. 2 down, half way there!

Our next tip was Top Notch in the 1:15pm at Ascot, he himself still making his name over fences for Nicky Henderson. When starting Daryl Jacob was happy to take a tow into the race from the ex Henry de Bromhead trained, Sizing Codelco who was racing enthusiastically for his new trainer – Colin Tizzard. Again we were left with our hearts in our mouths as the race fell hostage to the fog and we eagerly awaited the pack to break through the fog. When the breakthrough came one thing was clear, Top Notch was leading! Top Notch kept his lead and landed his own hat-trick of wins and in doing so landed our hat-trick on the Acca. 3/3 and onto the last leg with this winner going in at 4/5!

The last leg of our acca turned to a fast improving mare Colin’s Sister for the bang in-form Fergal O’Brien team. She was another who was more than happy to take a tow into this Listed contest at 2:05pm Ascot. When others around her began to crack she was still travelling mightily well and we were daring to get our BOOOOM ready! She took much closer order over the 5th last and began to get the better of her rivals. She took a clear lead at 3 out and began to come away, Paddy Brennan relinquished half an inch of rein on the flat and she shot like a bullet and proved she is most definitely good enough to go on to Graded class and in doing so she landed our Acca!

BOOM – £89 Acca smashed in!
