Today’s Acca win was absolutely fantastic from a punting perspective but from a racing lover’s perspective it was certainly tinged with a lot of sadness as sadly in the last leg of the Acca, we lost a beautiful horse in the shape of Fayette County. An horrific jump cost the horse dear and he could never get up from it which is very sad news indeed. Jockey Alan Johns hobbled away but was also left bruised. It is hard to celebrate such wins in such circumstances to be honest and we’re sure every punter would give back their winnings to have all horses home safe.

How We Did it

Belami Des Pictons justified long odds on favouritism to see off the attentions of his one challenger at Leicester and will now be targeted at a Cheltenham handicap more than likely. Red Rising was the next one up for the Acca and again won with no fuss at all for the Skelton yard. The last leg of the Acca saw Delusionofgrandeur come from an uncompromising position to fly home and get up in the shadows of the post for some major BOOMS!
