7.53pm Crayford Race Preview – myracing Syndicate Meenagh Mourinho debut

Greyhound Image - Crayford

The myracing greyhound syndicate has been going strong for a while now, we initially purchased three pups Droopys Dazzle, Nuka and Hyde. Since then we have gone from strength to strength adding to our syndicate, an unnamed pup and our latest recruit Meenagh Mourinho. ‘Jose’ as he’s affectionately known was purchased after running in some decent races at Drumbo Park. He was offered up for sale and syndicate members moved quickly to secure his services. He kicks off his career at Crayford in A4 company, this is a lovely starting point for a dog we’re hoping could do pretty well. Our daily greyhound tips are on site from 6.30pm each afternoon, let’s take a closer look at what faces us at Crayford.

7.53pm Crayford 15th September A4 Grade

Sharons Bling – Not always been the most straight forward, she has some decent early gears but she doesn’t always get it right when the cards are down. Last Tuesday everything seemed to click and she managed to land the spoils however that wasn’t a particularly strong race for the A5 grade. She’s now been moved up to A4 company and she’s going to find thing much tougher. Until you see how she takes to the step up in class you’d be looking elsewhere in this race.

Pretend Times – Struggling for form at Crayford in the last couple of week after landing back to back wins in August. He’s moved quickly up the grades from A7 to A4 and for now his form has levelled off. Although he is more than capable when he gets it right for now, like the one dog you’d be waiting to see him show a better level of form at this grade.

Easter Rising – An interesting dog at this level who could make his presence felt. He produced a superb 23.69 back in May in A4 company which boosted him up to A3 where he subsequently finished second. Given time off by connections he has returned with a decent 23.79 trial and back in A4 company he could be a danger in this race.

Pure Pepe – A bit like trap one and two in this field, he’s struggled to maintain his form after springing the odd victory. Connections must feel like it’s feast or famine and that’s down to whether he gets luck at the boxes. He doesn’t have much early dash and at Crayford if you can’t clear the first bend you end up in a world of trouble. He is a danger to all but he’s going to need a massive slice of luck.

Meenagh Mourinho – Making his long awaited debut for the syndicate, he has a chance in this field. His last race at Drumbo Park was a 5 length sprint victory in top grade company. He started out at Crayford with a decent 23.80 first look and has shown a level of consistency. He has a decent boot from the lids and if can lead this field up he should have enough class to win a race of this type.

Bandit Puma – The dark horse in the field, after producing some average efforts he sprung a fast 23.69 last Friday when well supported in the market. He doesn’t lack the early dash but it could be a case of clearing the 5 and he has a chance. If he can return in the same form as last week he could play a hand in this race, but it all depends whether he can produce two decent efforts on the spin.

Conclusion

‘Jose’ looks to have a live chance in this race, there are a couple that might be able to lay it down to him but they have to show some consistency. With the pace angle looking to come from the outside traps it could be that the inside dogs have to wait for the split to make their efforts. We are confident ‘Jose’ has enough to take a race of this nature, its just whether he has the early gears to punish traps 3 and 6.
