Tip Race Review

Initially rated 75, he’d yet to contest a race on the All Weather for Mick Channon but he had shown good form in patches, including a 3rd place in a Class 4 at Leicester and he’d competed in a Goodwood Class 2 event off a mark of 70 so we knew he was highly thought of.

John Egan again picked up the ride – onboard for his only other win, and it seemed the winter break did him a world of good. He raced prominently throughout before picking up the lead a furlong out and he had to battle very hard to hold off Santiburi Spring.

There were nervous moments while we waited to see if we’d got the result in  a photo but he’d just held on – an official winning distance of a Head from the 16/1 second – and we landed our second huge price tip in a week following our 33/1 winning tip last week!
