3 Outsiders Who Could Make You Rich At Southwell

Hereford Racecourse

Our sponsored card at Southwell on Tuesday night looks a decent little affair for the course, with seven competitive looking races on the menu. You can get selections for every race on our Southwell Betting Tips as well as some handy pointers on trainers, jockeys and horses who do well at the track with our Southwell Track Stats. For those who like a bigger price, we have three who look too big in the early markets for the myracing sponsored card.

Farmer Boy – 7.10 – 33/1

Nigel Hawke’s horse has caught the eye on a number of occasions, taking the eye in the parade ring at Huntingdon as one for the notebook on the same day that Kincora Fort won for our syndicate. He still looked a little unfurnished walking round there, running well until three out where a mistake knocked the stuffing out of him. He again looked a little backwards under pressure on his handicap debut at Kempton, connections reaching for blinkers now. He strikes as the type that may benefit from added concentration so better is expected.

Nachi Falls – 8.10 – 22/1

Another one for Nigel Hawke who could be looking at a pair of decent prices hitting the frame, a bad mistake put paid to his chances in a far deeper race than this at Cheltenham when last seen. Was a decent juvenile hurdler two seasons back, this sound surface helpful to his chances. Capable from higher than this over fences last season, he may be open to better now from a reduced hurdles mark, afforded a featherweight to carry with his jockeys ten pound claim.

Hey Bob – 9.10 – 16/1

Just 1/39 in his career, he doesn’t look an obvious pick for an outsider to follow, but his sole success came over this course and distance. He moved smoothly through that contest, winning with plenty in hand, able to compete from just a pound higher tonight. It may be that he is flattered by that but there is also a chance that a return to this track may allow him to produce his best form again and in a race that won’t take an awful lot of winning, he looks overpriced.
