3 Outsiders For The Final Day Of The Turf Flat Season 2018

Doncaster Racecourse

It has been an exciting Flat season but before the National Hunt begins in earnest Doncaster host the finale on the level, which features a couple of Listed events and the November Handicap. The card features the likes of Laugh A Minute, Librisa Breeze and Donjuan Triumphant and you can see our ITV Racing Tips on site. It looks like being a fantastic day of racing and we’re going to try and unearth some big priced outsiders to make it even better.

2.40pm Aintree – Mercian Prince (Best Priced 18/1)

Amy Murphy’s stable star Kalashnikov made a successful chase debut for owner Paul Murphy at Warwick and MERCIAN PRINCE can cap a good couple of day for the owner by taking the Rewards4Racing Handicap Chase at Aintree. He was impressive when winning at Kempton and Wetherby last season and is only two pounds higher than the most recent of those to wins. He goes well fresh and could be up to defying his absence at a big price.

11.45pm Doncaster – Roller (Best Priced 14/1)

Roger Fell saddles the favourite Presidential in this competitive looking event but it could pay to back ROLLER for Mick Easterby instead. He was sixth behind Presidential when last seen but that was a better effort than it seemed and he has been dropped two pounds for his troubles. The race wasn’t run to suit that day and with this contest set to suit him better he can reverse the form at a tasty price.

2.05pm Doncaster – Downforce (Best Priced 20/1)

William McCreery is a very good trainer and wouldn’t send too many horses over to England so the presence of DOWNFORCE in the Wentworth Stakes is a tip in itself. He is a really likeable type who has won over this distance before and he thrashed subsequent Ayr Gold Cup winner Son Of Rest when winning a Listed contest at Navan in April. The going was heavy there so the forecast rain will suit him and he is likely to be bang there despite his price.
