3.07pm Crayford Race Preview 05/12/2017

It’s another exciting day for the syndicate on Tuesday as Meenagh Morurinho goes to post in the final of a £500 Owners Bonus Series Competition at Crayford. He pinged out in the heats to make all the running from trap 5, with 4 his trap to work from in the final. Our greyhound tips will be live on site by 6.00pm tonight. Before then however, let’s break down Jose’s monkey final chances.

3.07pm Crayford 05/12/2017 A2 Grade

Tinas Paddy – Two wins and two seconds in her last four runs in this grade, slow starts costing her dear the last twice. She was behind the 2 in the heats last week but had picked up that same hound when they met earlier in November. A big player if she comes away in her best fashion.

Teddybear Pops – An old rival of Jose’s, they met back in Ireland at Drumbo in July before once more on this hound’s Crayford debut, Jose coming out on top both times. Pops beat Jose on the 14th of November and with a slow starter inside, connections will like their chances of levelling the scores here.

Snowdon Hank – Bounced back from a few disappointing runs last week when a short head behind Jose in the heats. That is three weeks in a row now that he has been in arrears of the MRT hound, will need a further step forward here flanked by early pace.

Meenagh Mourinho – An unfamiliar draw for Jose at Crayford as the inside of three wide seeds. He has smashed the lids the last twice, something that he is probably going to have to do again. Just once outside the first three in eleven runs for the syndicate (when fourth), he doesn’t know how to run a bad race. Has a shout in a tasty contest if coming away in his best fashion.

Droopys Sandiego – Another who doesn’t know how to run a bad race, he picked up Jose when they met in November. He had the benefit of stripes on that occasion, 0/17 when clad in orange since a win on 22nd October 2016. That is a concern for him.

Boxoffice Queen – Smart bitch when she can dominate, she missed the up a shade last Tuesday, unable to cope with Jose’s pace to the bend. With a pair of wide runners inside her, she is going to have to be right on her game at trap rise to clear the early pace. She has the ability to get involved but she must lead to do so.

Conclusion

Like the previous four A2 contests that Jose has run in, this is an A1 in all but name. It’s a deep field but having beaten the 3 and 6 in the heats as well as a 2-1 record when taking on the 2, he deserves plenty of consideration despite the new draw. His two best runs in Ireland came when in 3 so the draw shouldn’t be too much of a hindrance and if able to come away in the same fashion as when pinging the lids the last twice,he can turn in front. If that happens then he’s going to hold a sound chance.
