161-1 Cheltenham Festival favourites accumulator

We all love an acca. The dream of big wins from small outlays keeps the form students buried in the form books. At Cheltenham, a winning acca always feels twice as good, so, we have put together a 161-1 acca for the 2021 Cheltenham Festival made up of some of the strongest favourites out there. The price is correct at time of writing with Paddy Power.

1.55 Tue – Sporting Life Arkle Challenge Trophy

This has the potential to be one of the clashes of the week. Shishkin is the favourite and looks likely to have this run to suit him perfectly with both Allmankind and Energumene both front runners who appear to have just the one way of going. If this turns into a battle up front, it should set things up perfectly for Shishkin. He showed in the Supreme last season that he has a high cruising speed and for a novice chaser, his jumping has been superb.

3.40 Wed – Glenfarclas Chase

Even before Tiger Roll began to look a shadow of his former self, Easysland was already a red-hot favourite for this. He ran riot in what was on paper a better renewal in 2020 and it’s easy to excuse his return to action when giving away lumps of weight, especially when the murmurs from France were that he would come on a huge amount for the run.

3.05 Thu – Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle

The staying division has been excellent this year, Thyme Hill and Paisley Park splitting decisions at Newbury and Ascot. There has been little between the pair of them, the former getting the better in their first clash when both were fresh. That has been the best time to catch Thyme Hill, when turned over at Ascot, it was the shortest gap he’s ever had between his races. Fresh now and less exposed swings the vote back in his favour.

1.20 Fri – JCB Triumph Hurdle

A market that has been shaken up of late with Tritonic taking over favouritism from Zanahiyr. The latter has been hugely impressive in three starts over hurdles so far but the English have a strong contender of their own who made it 2/2 over obstacles at Kempton.

The selection was better part of twenty-five pounds superior to Zanahiyr on the flat and while this is obviously a very different sphere, Tritonic has taken to hurdling well. Zanahiyr admittedly didn’t have the same amount of experience on the flat so is less exposed but Tritonic has been in handicap battles and that counts for a lot up the final hill.

4.15 Fri – Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase

A very smart chasing mare in the making here in Elimay. She has won three of her first four starts over the bigger obstacles, the only horse to beat her, Allaho, heads the market for the Ryanair on the Thursday. A drop to two miles last time didn’t stop her, a nice mix of speed and stamina, she acts on any ground and is going to prove very hard to beat.
