143/1 Stats Treble for Thursday’s action

Carlisle Racecourse

Lots of action coming up on Thursday with seven meetings to enjoy. Carlisle, Lingfield and Wincanton form the afternoon action in the UK with Southwell and Chelmsford taking over in the evening. In Ireland, the Curragh and Tramore both race during the day. We’ve cast our eyes over the action and have spotted three fascinating runners to form a 143/1 stats based acca.

Curragh 2.05 – Fugacious

When the combination of Gavin Ryan and John James Ferne team up, they have enjoyed plenty of success. They are 2/3 this season at the Curragh and are 6/26 overall for a +£32.33 level stakes profit. Those are eye-catching figures, especially with Ryan still a three-pound claimer. Soft ground are the ideal conditions for Fugacious, runner-up here in a similar contest last October. The big field and strong pace should be in his favour.

Carlisle 4.11 – No Risk Des Flos

Olly Murphy has sent just six runners to Carlisle in his short time as a trainer, returning home with four winners and two seconds. The horsebox has just a single runner going north on Thursday in unraced bumper runner No Risk Des Flos. A half-brother to the 155-rated Vision Des Flos who has won at Grade 2 level and twice been runner-up in Grade 1 company. That horse won on his bumper debut and the market has made a quick move to suggest this one will do the same.

Southwell 5.45 – Arthur’s Angel

The team of Ben Curtis and John Ryan have teamed up for a perfect 3/3 record so far in 2020 at Southwell. Arthur’s Angel shown only a modicum of promise in two starts so far but has certainly suggested that the step down to seven furlongs will help. He gets cheekpieces added and it looks likely that he will be allowed his head here from an inside draw so a better performance looks on the cards.
