1.01pm Crayford Race Preview 11/09/2018

Meenagh Mourinho is looking at returning to the winners podium for the myracing.com Greyhound Syndicate at Crayford. Things didn’t pan out as expected last week but we hope to draw a line through that effort. We’ll take you through his chances and that of the opposition in this A2 race today.

Today’s preview comes from one of our syndicate managers, David Mitchell.

Today’s Syndicate Runner

 Meenagh Mourinho – Returned to Crayford last week after succumbing to injury at the end of July. He was entitled to need that run after a bit of time away and we’re hopefully of a better showing today. He has a decent draw here and we know he has a smash break in his locker. If he was to turn in a 3.50 split he could surely make his presence felt in this race today.

Today’s Opponents

 Turbine Tyche – Ultra consistent dog in the top grades at Crayford and no doubt connections will feel she has a strong chance of taking this. She’s got a lovely draw right on the rail and she’s in-form. If she could hold that inside line she’d have a big chance in this race.

 Killila Beauty – New to this higher level but seemingly capable of running a big race. Like T1 she’s in sterling form at present but this jump through the grades would be a concern. She would undoubtedly need a career best effort to get involved with the main players but she does have a chance.

 Cnoc Jet – Just coming out of the puppy stage of his career and he doesn’t have too many miles on the clock. He seems relatively consistent at the boxes but this race could be too much at this point in his career. If the cards fell right he could run well but after last weeks effort we’ll be happy to watch him today.

 Raymonds Return – Any Crayford form scholar will know all there is to know about this dog in the top grades around here, he’s been a fantastic dog for connections. He isn’t getting any younger and it would seem that age is starting to catch up with him recently. He’s dropped down the grades after some poor efforts but on his day he’d win this no problem.

 Droopys Dizzy – Young inconsistent dog that has bags of talent is probably the best way to describe Dizzy. A 23.58 in July is a solid effort at this level and if producing that she’d go close. Since then her form has tailed off but don’t write this dog off yet there is still plenty of sting in her tail if getting it right.

Jose looks to have a sound chance in this field but with his injury and recent effort still fresh in the memory we can’t really throw too much weight behind that. T1 is a very consistent dog and would go down as the main danger. It’s great to see Raymonds Return at this level and we hope he enjoys a nice spin round.
