Where to watch French horse racing

Anapurna winning at Longchamp

Live racing returns from France on Monday after the shutdown of the sport over the past few weeks. Three meetings take place at Longchamp, Toulouse and Compiegne and here we guide you through what you need to know to enjoy the action in full.

How to watch French racing

Sky Sports Racing (SSR) has been the home of French racing for over a year now and will be showing all of the action from Longchamp, alongside contests from Toulouse and Compiegne.

You can watch this on channel 415 on Sky, 535 on Virgin Media, and 418 on Virgin Ireland.

It is an early start with the programme beginning at 9.45am in time for the first race at Longchamp at 9.55am (the Prix de Saint-Georges).

A range of bookmakers will also be live streaming the action, so we also recommend checking with your bookmaker when you place your bet.

How to find the winners

Our tipsters have sifted through the hundreds of runners on day one to find you the best bets for the day. These tips can be found on our horse racing tips page.

How to study the form

The myracing racecards section, accessible at the top of the page, offers key information on every runner from at least two meetings per day.

Race replays are available on the France Galop website by creating a free user account.

How to bet

French racing is widely available to bet on in Britain and Ireland with all major bookmakers offering a range of markets.
