In the past three seasons, Scott Young boasts to most winners around here with 53 victories from 232 runners, an impressive 25% strike-rate and it’s clear that his horses are worthy of maximum respect when lining up at this venue.

This year, however, his Champion Trainer tag is under threat from Robertino Diodoro who has had a hugely impressive time of things in 2020 with a 35% strike-rate coming about from 17 winners with just 48 runners and a further 16 have finished second or third. Anything this yard runs at Will Rogers Downs has to be considered given the red-hot form they’re showing on the track.

Two jockeys are standing out from a statistical point of view this season and topping the leaderboard with 19 winners from 55 runners, a wonderful 35% strike-rate, is Ty Kennedy. The talented rider links up well with Diodoro and they’re sure to be in the winners’ enclosure at many more meetings here.
