We’ve had a good flick through the paper and added four selections to a Saturday acca that pays out more than £1,500 from a £1 stake.

Mutaabeq (2:25pm Sandown)

Times have been quiet for Marcus Tregoning since the halcyon days of Sir Percy’s victory in the Derby in 2006, but he can still call upon the valuable patronage of owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum and the pair can team up for the victory with Mutaabeq at Sandown on Saturday.

The four-year-old is set to take in the Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap at the Esher circuit and connections will be hoping that any rain stays away as decent underfoot conditions seem to suit him.

Mutaabeq made an encouraging start to his career when trained by Dermot Weld in Ireland with a couple of victories last summer but has been seen only three times since having been gelding the meantime.

His first outing for Tregoning ended in underwhelming fashion at Sandown in July when he finished down the field, but he did himself no favours on that occasion by proving much too headstrong in the early stages of the race and he wasn’t given a hard time once his chance had gone.

It was a different story at Bath this month, however, as he stayed on in good style to finish runner-up in a first-time hood, giving the impression that a race of this nature was well within his compass as long as Tregoning can get him firing on all cylinders.

Jubiloso (3:00pm Sandown)

Jubiloso can register her biggest success to date in the Group Three Betway Atalanta Stakes on the same Sandown card.

Sir Michael Stoute’s classy filly was the unluckiest loser of Glorious Goodwood week when she was repeatedly denied a clear run in the Group Three Oak Tree Stakes.

Jubiloso eventually came home third to Billesdon Brook but would have won easily in different circumstances.

The daughter of Shamardal has since excelled in her work on the Al Bahathri Polytrack and is expected to give Stoute an eighth triumph in the contest he won most recently with Veracious a year ago.

Judicial (3:15 Beverley)

Beverley stages the Listed Bullet on Saturday and a glut of horses who can make the running could tee things up nicely for Julie Camacho’s Judicial.

He was out of his depth in Group Two company behind top sprinter Battaash at Goodwood last time, but he is much better suited by courses with stiff uphill finishes and will make a bold bid to make it three out of three over this course and distance.

Visinari (3:35pm Sandown)

Middleham trainer Mark Johnston, who last won the Solario Stakes ten years ago with Shakespearean, can take the Group Three event at Sandown on Saturday with his smart juvenile Visinari.

Admittedly the colt will have to fare better than he did in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood last time out, but he is much better judged on the form he showed when a close third in Newmarket’s July Stakes behind Royal Lytham and Platinum Star.

That form has been franked and Johnston’s runner, a tall sort with plenty of physical scope, is likely to be better suited by the stiffer nature of this course. He has Ryan Moore back in the saddle.
