Dan Skelton’s Eastern Fire was a respectable second on debut in a Uttoxeter bumper on debut and improved to get off the mark at Fakenham in January, where he got the better of an odds-on Willie Mullins runner. He should be up to winning at this level over hurdles.
Nigel & Willy Twiston-Davies have been in excellent form in the last fortnight and their representative Ferocimo won a point-to-point at Ballycrystal in March. Picked up for £115,000 at the sales, connections will be expecting him to make a good start to his career under rules.
Irish point winner Tap Tap Shamie was a respectable second in maiden company on his first couple of hurdles starts and he did the job in good style at Hexham last time out. An opening mark of 120 shouldn’t be beyond him and he can follow up on handicap debut.

Hombre De Guerra showed signs of a return to form when third in a decent race at Ayr on his most recent start and he currently finds himself on a mark of 122, which he won off as a novice for previous connections. He should be in the mix now down in grade.
Cossack Chach was a comfortable winner of a Sligo beginners’ chase for Joseph O’Brien back in 2024 and he was keeping on for third over a shorter trip on stable debut at Hexham in June. Going back up in trip will help on that evidence and he remains lightly raced over fences.
Moab landed a maiden hurdle over course and distance on his most recent start over hurdles and he ran a cracker to finish third by a narrow margin at Punchestown in April. It’s likely that the best is yet to come and he should be competitive off a mark of 110.
Get Out Of My Way was a comfortable winner of a Market Rasen bumper on debut last term and she bumped into an impressive winner when second in a Listed contest at Newbury. There should be more to come over hurdles and a return to winning ways is anticipated.
Inca De Lafayette won three times over hurdles and was an impressive victor over fences at Plumpton in April. It’s fair to say that an extra 5lb would have made little difference on that occasion so winning off a mark of 117 shouldn’t be beyond the son of Gris De Gris.
Major Fortune was consistent last term, winning twice, and he stayed on well to score over an extended 3m1f at Haydock on his most recent start. More will be needed off a 5lb higher mark but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he remains ahead of the handicapper.
