Irish trainer sends one horse on the 900-mile round trip to Carlisle on Sunday

Barkis doesn’t have the strongest field going up against him as he bids to land the double, though there are a couple who make more appeal, and none more so than BARON VON CHILL. The six-year-old was inconsistent over in Ireland, but he won well for Dan Skelton at Market Rasen in May, while his third when short of room over course and distance last time out was also positive. A repeat of that form would likely see the gelding go well. The unexposed Take The High Road is another interesting contender.
