8.30pm Windsor Tips & Betting Preview 11/07/2016

A small field but exciting race with all six runners having good chances to consider for our race preview. Our betting tips pick out an unexposed type who still holds an Irish Oaks entry and could be far better than her 78 rating suggests.

IN SUMMARY: MYTIMEHASCOME sports a first time hood and, off a lenient opening mark of 78, should step forward for her seasonal reappearance in May under Andrea Atzeni and record a first win. Sepal represents powerful connections and is James McDonald’s only ride on the card, and enjoying the step up in trip will be right in the mix.

1 Batts Rock – Highly tried last time out in a third field handicap at Newmarket where they didn’t go enough of a pace. This trip suits and Michael Bell has had just five horses outside the top 3 in the last 14 days (from 17 runners) but has been gelded since last run.

2 Against The Odds – Likely to go off outsider of the race after running extremely poorly at Bath on Good to Firm over this distance last time out when sent off 3/1 favourite. Dropped 1lb for that but also beaten over 5 lengths at Newbury and doesn’t look as well handicapped as the rest of this field.

3 Kesselring – Richard Hannon has a good record with 3 year olds this season (+£55 to £1 stakes) but this colt never looked like winning just nine days ago. Ground is a big unknown with only win coming on Soft and breeding suggests would prefer cut.

4 Cosmeapolitan – One of the more exposed horses in the field, has been steadily stepped up in trip over his career. Has yet to run well on Good to Firm and dropped 3lb since his debut but will likely want more cut in the ground.

5 Mytimehascome – Our betting tip for the race, ran extremely well behind Diamonds Pour Moi in his second start and showed she’d trained on when finishnig 3rd at Salisbury two months ago. Hood should help and a mark of 78 looks very reasonable based on her form shown so far. Good to Firm shouldn’t be a problem on breeding.

6 Sepal – Powerful connections and James McDonald’s only ride on the Windsor card tonight. Sent off 5/2 favourite and tried to make all over 1m 2f at Pontefract last time out but headed a fair way out and well between in the end. Best runs so far have come over shorter – win come over 8 furlongs at Leicester – and this step up in trip doesn’t promise to bring out improvement but could run well at a big price.

myracing Forecast Prices: 11/8 Mytimehascome, 9/2 Cosmeapolitan, 6/1 Batts Rock, Sepal, 8/1 Kesslring, 10/1 Against The Odds
