7.30pm Kempton Tips & Betting Preview 02/09/2016

Our race preview takes a look at an interesting fillies conditions race at Kempton on their evening card. See our betting tips below to find a horse who can do herself much more justice now put into a more suitable class.

IN SUMMARY: Syndicate finished 2nd on debut and the yard won this with an improver back in 2012. However, she may well struggle to catch NASIMI if she is back to her best. She won her Maiden in good style and although she’s only finished 9th and 8th in her last 2 runs, they were in Group Company where she didn’t completely disgrace herself. All weather shouldn’t be a problem, neither will the step up in trip which is in her favour and she is taken to beaten Beckett’s unexposed filly. Soul Silver should give a bold sight and is proven on this surface.

1 NASIMI – Won his maiden in good style at Haydock (6f, Good to Soft) and was well held in group company since. Wasn’t completely disgraced on those efforts though and did beat Soul Silver in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket (6f, Good to Firm), albeit they were last and last but one (Soul Silver was well beaten). Possibly hasn’t been relishing the firmer ground as she beat Nations Alexander in her maiden on Good to Soft, who finished 3rd in the Cambridge Stakes and then didn’t disgrace herself in the Lowther when 4th. The slower all weather surface should help her today and if coming on for those group experiences, she could be very hard to beat in this conditions event.

2 SOUL SILVER – Also won her maiden under hands and heels back in June, and then was very poor in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes (6f, Good to Firm) when a well beaten last, with Nasimi 7 lengths up the road. Came on for that though when being chinned at Chelmsford on the AllWeather latest (7f, AW) and that was a good run. Will probably need to improve again to beat Nasimi but that isn’t out of the question for the inform Simcock yard.

3 COOL ECHO – Well held but keeping on in her maiden at Nottingham back in June (6f, Good to Firm) and then was a close 2nd to Paco’s Angel at Windsor latest (5f, Good to Soft). That form has worked out well with Paco’s Angel coming out and putting some good fillies to the sword at Goodwood (including The Wagon Wheel and Rajar). Still has quite a bit to find in the context of the race but the step up to 7f could well eek out some more, so can’t be discounted.

4 HIGHLAND PASS – Out of Passing Glance and related to some good horses including Elm Park and the currently inform Brorocco. Has a decent standard to aim at on debut and needs to be watched very closely for market support as this yard can ready a 2yo.

5 PRIZE DIVA – Out of Motivator and related to group winner Cocktail Queen. Pedigree is useful but this is a very tough assignment on debut and there are some questions regarding the trip, best watched with a notebook in hand just in case.

6 SYNDICATE – Runner up in a useful looking Newbury Maiden (7f, Good to Firm) in which several runners behind have franked the form. Open to a lot of progress and can easily come on enough to win this race, with the Beckett yard winning this with a similar type back in 2012. Pedigree suggests that AW shouldn’t be an issue, and she is a very interesting runner, needs respect.
