7.10pm Kempton Tips & Betting Preview 14/12/2016

IN SUMMARY: Only hands and heels were needed for HACKNEY ROAD to win easily on debut at Newcastle and although she’s now in a more competitive race, she has time on her side and plenty of improvement can be expected from Henry Spiller’s filly. She should be up to the task again today. The main danger may well be Be Royale who is running consistently well at present.

1 CHERRY KOOL – Won on both the turf and the All Weather but hasn’t been in the best form at present, latest when 5th of 12 at Chelmsford in September (5f, Std). Stall 10 is another sucker punch and best left alone today.

2 LOLITA – Inconsistent performer but was 2nd over C&D on her penultimate start and if in the same mood she could be very dangerous, but hard to trust she will do so.

3 ENGLISHWOMAN – Thrice a winner on the All Weather although her last win came back in February at Wolverhampton (5f, Std). Has been out of form for the majority of time since and needs her break to have done a serious amount of good for her to feature today.

4 BE ROYALE – Multiple winner on both turf and All Weather and has been running consistently well of late, finishing well but just held towards the finish over C&D last month (6f, Std). Stall 2 is very handy for a prominent running horse and she can definitely make her presence felt today.

5 HACKNEY ROAD – Won a modest Newcastle Fillies’ Stakes on debut last month but had a lot in hand and was only pushed out under hands and heels to win (6f, Std). Remains with lots of potential and should have no problem getting stuck into this field with Stall 3 a big help.

6 EVENING STARLIGHT – Posted a career best when headed late on at Lingfield over 6f, a good effort in the context of this race. Stall 11 makes things a lot harder however and may well struggle to get across to be prominent.

7 JUMERIAH STAR – Won twice over 6f at Lingfield and Wolverhampton but not in any sort of form the last three runs and will need to raise her game in order to feature in this.

8 CAMDORA – Won two handicaps at Chelmsford back in January and February this year but hasn’t really been threatening much since then. Her last two runs have been better and was unlucky not to finish closer at Wolverhampton latest so has place claims at her best.

9 EQUINETTE – Been a shade disappointing the last twice in very ordinary maidens and going into Handicaps with a lot of work to do on the back of those efforts, hard to make a case for her.

10 MUSICAL TASTE – Won over 7f in a Nursery at Wolverhampton last October but has been very disappointing since, struggling to even beat a rival, so can’t be considered.

11 FLYING SAKHEE – Career best but that effort was modest at best when 6th of 11 at Lingfield at the start of the month (6f, Std). Doesn’t make any appeal.
