3.40pm Leicester Tips & Betting Preview 27/11/2016

A good looking 0-120 Handicap and with 15 runners there should be a good pace to aim at with a few front runners in the field. Read on for our experts’ thoughts and betting tips.

IN SUMMARY: Dominada will be popular amongst punters having won the last two convincingly and will give it is best shot for the hat-trick although the ground will be an unknown for him. Peruvien Bleu travelled well when winning at Towcester last month and will go close here if holding his form but he might just struggle to contain AIR DE ROCK. He had decent form in France and ran well on debut earlier in the month and with his yard in much better form now, can score under Liam Treadwell who had a nice winner for the yard at Newcastle yesterday. The promising Rocklander and last time out winner Wildmoor Boy can fill the runner-up spots in a race in which there are a few in with chances.

1 Dominada – Two wins already this Autumn with wide-margin wins at Carlisle and then Ludlow last month. Proved above his Handicap mark in his last race and higher mark to contend with now. Will give it his best shot at the hat-trick under talented apprentice but slower ground a worry. Player.

2 Rocklander – Well supported on seasonal reappearance earlier this month when getting up to win by 4 ½ lengths from a decent one from the Tizzard yard. 10lb higher here and this is more competitive but won well at Chepstow and is lightly-raced for his age. Solid chance.

3 Satanic Beat – Has been largely consistent this year but didn’t fare too well taking to chasing a couple of runs back at Stratford. Got back to form when only a length down to Herons Heir from the Skelton yard last time at Kempton over 2m on Good ground earlier this month. Likely to run his race again but Handicapper looks to have his measure for now.

4 Peruvien Bleu – Won well by two lengths in a Handicap Hurdle at Towcester on comeback after 4 months off last month. Travelled well that day and looks to have more improvement despite being upped 8lb. Interesting.

5 Air De Rock – Fair Hurdler in France last year and well held on debut at Hexham last month finishing 23 lengths back in 3rd. Was the yard’s first runner of the Autumn that time and more can be expected now Venetia William’s has begun to hit top form. Dangerous to rule out.

6 Chieftain’s Choice – Previously won a couple of Novice Hurdle events when trained by John Quinn at the end of 2014 but hasn’t really shown anywhere near that form since moving to Kevin Frost’s yard. Has dropped to a career-low mark but needs to improve quickly to get involved here.

7 Dormouse – Back-to-back wins at Lingfield last December on Heavy ground and has shown a real liking for the mud in the past. Was below best when only 5th of 7 on last run at Market Rasen in June. Fast ground a worry here and others preferred.

8 Wildmoor Boy – Won a Handicap Hurdle at Stratford by 5 lengths in August and followed up in convincing style next time out at Warwick, winning by 6 that time. Runner-up again at Stratford next time out before landing a big-field Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham last time by 1 ¼ lengths. Has done nothing but improve for this yard but 10lb higher here and may find life difficult.

9 Cactus Valley – Sole win since 2013 came in April at Wetherby when winning comfortably by 1 ¼ lengths from Celtic Agent from the Micky Hammond yard. Couldn’t follow up at Perth 4 days later and off since. Has a reasonable mark to contend with based on flat form but enough going against him this time to rule out unless the market speaks in his favour.

10 Moojaned – Decent on the flat with last win coming at Windsor in April and has been well below his best recently. An ok 3rd when last seen over Hurdles in May. NON-RUNNER.

11 Innoko – Won over 1m2f at Cheltenham in May scoring by 1 ½ lengths. Last on final start on the flat at Brighton in August and easily opposed upped in class here.

12 Vayland – Previously with Micky Hammond and last win over Hurdles at Taunton in March 2015 but hasn’t been at best in 10 runs since. Back to Hurdles today on his first start for new yard and can be ruled out in this.

13 Actiondancer – Only 5th in a Maiden Hurdle last month on seasonal reappearance and will need a lot more to get involved here on Handicap debut.

14 Little Bruce – Modest form to finish only 4th of 10 at Carlisle last month but needs a career best to take a hand here and can be easily ruled out.

15 Anton Dolin – A few placed efforts this year but hasn’t won since August 2013 and far enough out of the Handicap to suggest he will struggle here. Can be ignored this time.
