1.20pm Bangor Tips & Betting Preview 09/11/2016

A trappy little contest with only a field of four in one of the feature races of the day on an interesting card at Bangor.

IN SUMMARY: With Dan Skelton’s team continuing to churn out winners it would be no surprise if his highly thought-of Stephanie Frances were to coast home over a track that should suit. The same could be said however for Alan King’s PRESENTING LISA who won as she liked last month at Huntingdon finishing clear of a nice horse from Brian Ellison’s yard and it could boil down to a match between these two. That being said she won’t get here own way up front with former flat horse Bantam out to make up for the falling last week at Warwick. Havana Dancer is no slouch either.

1 Bantam – Former flat horse for Ed Dunlop who won two novice hurdles last year. Made Chase debut last week in a two runner affair and never on terms before falling at the fourth. Lot to prove up against better rivals but dangerous to dismiss if transferring hurdling form to chasing.

2 Havana Dancer – Was on terms with a hot-pot from the all conquering Gordon Elliott yard last month at Fairyhouse before a spill at 4-out left her in front to score nicely from the Elliott second-string by 5 lengths. Trainer brings her here for this listed race so expect a big run in this small field.

3 Presenting Lisa – Won at this course by 13 lengths at the end of July and whilst her jumping didn’t hold up so well on her next outing she returned to form making all at Huntingdon last month when beating a nice horse of Brian Ellison’s. Could be dangerous if adopting similar tactics here.

4 Stephanie Frances – Held up in her last race at Wetherby where she kept on under pressure to score by half a length despite blundering the last. Should come on for that race at a track that should suit.  She is however short enough for one who has had jumping problems in the past.
