Nicky Henderson’s Khrisma won a couple of graded bumpers when trained in France and won as she liked in a Uttoxeter novice last time out. It’s hard to see the 7lb penalty making much difference and a follow-up victory should be on the cards.
Ambiente Friendly found only City Of Troy too good in the 2024 Derby and he was rated 118 at the peak of his powers on the Flat. The son of Gleneagles won a Huntingdon novice on his second start over hurdles and should be much better than his opening mark of 119.
Hitintheheadlines was purchased privately after winning an Irish point-to-point and he ran well on his first start under rules at Ascot last month, finishing third. Dan Skelton’s gelding will improve for the run and won’t be far away here if doing so.

Magna Victor wasn’t disgraced when sixth in a Perth bumper on debut and there was lots to like about his third over hurdles at Chepstow in January. Handicaps could facilitate a significant amount of improvement and 105 is a workable opening mark.
Bollin Matilda isn’t the easiest to train but she’s a capable performer at this level when fit and firing. Donald McCain’s mare won back-to-back starts at Newcastle and Perth in April 2024 and the second of those successes came off just a 1lb lower mark. A return to form can’t be ruled out.

Nicky Richards is going well at the moment and his runner Abbey Scope was a smart winner of a bumper at Kelso on debut in April. The form of his third over hurdles at Market Rasen last time looks pretty solid and this is a good opportunity to get off the mark.
Petty Cash won over a similar distance at Chepstow on seasonal debut and wasn’t suited by the shorter trip in a better grade next time but still ran well to finish second. This race looks easier and a similar effort could well be enough.
Ebselysees always produces her best form at Huntingdon and she won a novice hurdle over course and distance in November 2024. It was a good effort when second over further here last month and she should be capable of winning at this level.
Electric Eddy was an impressive winner over hurdles at Worcester in September 2024 and produced a good display to finish second over fences at Hereford last month, on just his second start after a lengthy absence. Further progress is anticipated and he should be going close in this company.
