Windsor royalty: three horses proven at the track form huge 134-1 treble on Monday 👑

Windsor Racecourse

Windsor is a somewhat quirky track and it does tend to attract a lot of the same horses. This would suggest that being a course specialist can significantly affect a horse’s chances. With that in mind, Liam Bramall has picked out three horses with exceptional track records at Windsor who are running on Monday evening. 6.40 Windsor

A Sure Welcome (9-1, William Hill) is a regular visitor to Windsor. The eight-year-old has a massive 25 career starts under his belt here. This includes seven wins and nine places which gives him a win and place strike-rate of 64 per cent. That figure is exceptional and it would be unwise to rule him out. His last win came over course and distance in July off a 4lb higher mark so he would have to be considered well handicapped. All looks set for a big run from this veteran.

7.10 Windsor

Silver Gunn (2-1, William Hill) gave the impression that he’s a progressive horse who has done well from three to four when winning last time out. This aforementioned win came over course and distance and it was emphatic. Marc Botti’s gelding has had just one start here and the fact that it was a winning one bodes well. The handicapper put him up 8lb for that effort which could underestimate him. It looks likely that he’ll make it two consecutive wins if he turns up in the same form as last time.

8.15 Windsor

Another horse with a one from one strike-rate at Windsor is Eklil (7-2, bet365). Windsor was the scene of his sole victory in eight career starts which came two runs ago. His gelding operation in February did the trick as he won straight after. He was just a neck behind subsequent dual-winner Aryaah when fifth at Wetherby last time out. Eklil’s form suggests that he can win again, even off this 5lb higher mark.
