Two jockeys who are a combined 10/17 at Haydock bid for a 1,169-1 Sunday treble

Celcius ridden by Andrea Atzini winning at Haydock

The final meeting in the Sky Bet Sunday series comes from Haydock, a replacement for a previously abandoned card. All seven races are shown on ITV Racing who are also covering a race at both the Curragh and Musselburgh on a busy Sunday afternoon.

There are a pair of jockeys who have really stood out at Haydock so far this season and both have strong chances on the card at tasty prices. They combine to make up a 1,169/1 each way treble on the ITV action. That is best price with bet365 at time of writing. There are also cards at Bath and Chelmsford for those looking for something else on our horse racing tips.

4.10 Haydock – Sky Bet Sunday Apprentice Training Series Handicap

Things have been a bit feast or famine for Fantasy Master so far in 2021 but when he has been on his game, he has produced some smart runs. Third at Royal Ascot in June from two pounds higher than this, he sports cheekpieces for the first time for this assignment.

In the saddle is Erika Parkinson who has had just five rides at Haydock so far this season but has remarkably won on three of them! She has struck up a decent relationship with Mick Appleby, 10/71 for a +£49.25 level stakes profit in her career. This colt looks to have strong each way claims.

4.35 Haydock – Sky Bet Sunday Series Sprint Handicap

Jack Mitchell is also having an excellent season at Haydock, 7/12 at the track for a level stakes profit of +£12.98. He is riding a pair on Sunday who boasts solid each way chances for this piece as well as a fascinating ride on a two-year-old. Prince of Bel Lir was a winner over this trip at Nottingham in May, finding his stamina just ebbing away the last twice over an extra furlong.

This is a much sharper test for him but he is more than capable of picking up the pieces if they go too hard here. Placed the last twice off this mark, he is clearly well enough treated if things drop right for him.

6.00 Haydock – Sky Bet Sunday Series Fillies’ Handicap

It’s fair to say that New Exceed was a little disappointing at Sandown a few weeks ago in an earlier Sunday Series contest. That was over an extra furlong on a stiffer track, stopping very quickly up the hill. She had been tried over a mile and a half prior to that but connections drop her to a bare mile for this assignment.

Her dam was a dual Listed winner so connections would have hoped that she would be a better type than a 77 rated handicapper where she now finds herself but she has only had four starts in her life so there should still be better to come from her.
