850,000 guineas daughter of Frankel out to prove a point

Bought for a very hefty sum by Amo Racing, Ambience couldn’t have left a worse impression on her debut given her price tag when trailing in a well beaten sixth of seven on debut at Newmarket over 6f in May. She arrives here now off the back of a wind operation and will wear a tongue strap. She is surely capable of much better and we will find out much more here in the 6f novice for fillies at Lingfield (3.00).

Charlie Johnston runner worth a market watch at Musselburgh

Successful in the opening 7f maiden twice in the last three years, Charlie Johnston’s Wild Orchid is worth monitoring in the market at Musselburgh (2.15). The filly hasn’t shown a great deal in Lingfield maidens over 6f and 7f in recent weeks but the yard targets this race so perhaps much better can be expected of her now.

Can anyone stop Skelton runner landing an eight-timer?

Dan Skelton’s Beorma has won seven races on the bounce and the hugely progressive 7yo mare should take some stopping again in the 2m1f handicap chase at Stratford (6.15). This versatile mare won four times over fences and three times over hurdles in that time, and a new mark of 114 over larger obstacles is unlikely to stop her in her tracks.

Aidan O’Brien with just one runner at Bellewstown

Ballydoyle send just one runner to Bellewstown on Tuesday, a track that they don’t frequent too often, with five winners from 20 runners there in the last five years. Cosmetic will take her chance in the 1m4f fillies’ maiden (7.32), with Wayne Lordan aboard, and she should have strong claims.
