Thursday ITV Outsiders: Liam is backing Richard Fahey to have a brilliant night 🌆🐎

Richard Fahey

The Racing League kicks off on Thursday at Doncaster and all seven races will be shown live on ITV. It should be really competitive racing with plenty of runners in every race. Lots of runners means excellent each-way betting opportunities to take advantage of. With this in mind, we’ve selected three outsiders to consider at tasty prices. 6.10 Doncaster

Summer Sands (25-1, Paddy Power) has struggled since winning the Two Year Old Trophy at Redcar as a juvenile. The switch to Joseph O’Brien didn’t work out but in his last couple of starts for Richard Fahey, he has shown signs of a return to form. Having slipped down to a mark of 83 now, he should be much more competitive in handicaps.

7.10 Doncaster

Concierge (20-1, Paddy Power) finished second at Ascot five starts ago off a 1lb lower mark. Having only been beaten by half-a-length, the handicapper treated it as a win and put him up 3lb. Now that they’re beginning to relent, Michael Attwater’s gelding shouldn’t be far away off 75. One concern would be that it has been a while since he last won but it could be worth giving him one more chance.

8.10 Doncaster

Furzig (25-1, Paddy Power) is extremely well handicapped on his best form. Richard Fahey’s charge last won at Catterick in September off 83. Therefore, it could be significant that he now finds himself with a turf rating of 80. With a couple of wins last summer off 79 and 82, it seems like a victory is on the cards for this horse in the not too distant future.
