Saturday ITV Racing Outsiders: Adrian has plumped for 40-1, 22-1 and 12-1 tips 📺

Kelso Racecourse

Cheltenham may now be behind us but we still have a cracking day’s racing to look forward to on Saturday as the Flat season gets under way. ITV Racing play host to cards from Doncaster, Kelso and Kempton. It should be brilliant competitive action. Adrian Wall has highlighted three horses at big prices who he feels will outrun their large odds. Best of luck if you follow.

1.15 Doncaster

The Brocklesby is always a wide open affair full of exciting newcomers but I will take a chance with Rocking Ends (40-1) of the Brett Johnson camp. The two-year-old son of Havana Grey might not have as sexy a profile as some of his rivals and only cost 11,000 guineas but he is well bred. His dam was a winner up to a mile and she was a half-sister to Fourpenny Lane who was also a smart winner up to a mile. If they go hard up front, this boy should be finishing his race off well here.

1.35 Kelso

Idilico (22-1) was a decent performer on the Flat and he was an impressive winner at Musselburgh in February at odds of 28-1. Just 4lb higher in the weights now, if he can bounce back to that level he will look overpriced in this handicap. Jockey Conor O’Farrell has been among the winners of late, especially at big prices.

2.25 Doncaster

Arthur’s Realm (12-1) looks far too big a price to ignore in this field which is a nice race for an each-way punt with just nine runners set to go to post. The four-year-old son of Camelot needed the run when last of six runners at Newcastle on his return to action but his sole win came over this trip at Ripon and he ran a cracker at Newbury off this mark last September when third over 1m2f.
