Ripon horses for courses: Adrian picks out three track winners to form 50-1 treble 🐎

Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running at Ripon Racecourse on Thursday. The treble returns great odds of 50/1 at the time of posting. Best of luck if you have a play.

2.20 Ripon

True Courage contested a much deeper handicap to this at Ascot on what was his first run since October this month, and at the tail end of last season finished second in a valuable heritage handicap at Ascot off 81. Runs off 80 here down in class and the former course and distance winner has a big shout.

2.50 Ripon

Bollin Joan came with a rattling run to land a fair gamble at York earlier in the month, backed at very big prices on the day. She is up 3lb in the weights for that but this represents a drop in grade so a reproduction could well be enough to follow up her recent victory.

3.20 Ripon

Lotus Rose is a former course winner who deserves respect here but the most likely winner is former course and distance winner Woodlands Charm. She is now 10lb higher in the weights than when successful here last August, but she is only a 3yo so there should be plenty of improvement in her. She finished second over track and trip less than two weeks ago and a repeat would make her hard to beat.
