Friday’s Day 4 Royal Ascot card is another cracker and we have two Group 1 races to look forward to. As per usual there are plenty of runners across the seven races and some extra places on offer. This means lots of each-way opportunities and we have you covered on that front. We’ve selected four outsiders whose prices may not be an accurate reflection of their chances and could therefore surprise a few. Take a look at our free tips page, as we’ll be providing selections in every race at Royal Ascot.
Leovanni (33/1, bet365) won the Queen Mary here last season and 33/1 is a ridiculous price on that evidence. She looked in need of the run when keeping on for fourth in a Listed contest at Haydock on her seasonal reappearance. It’s worth noting that she didn’t get a clear run either and better is expected here.
Flight Leader (50/1, bet365) won four of his 10 starts in France for Andre Fabre, at up to an extended 1m2f. He produced a solid display to finish fourth at Chester on stable debut and improvement is anticipated. A mark of 105 isn’t generous but there could be more to come, now trying 1m4f.
Serving With Style (28/1, boylesports) was runner-up in the Rockfel Stakes last season, so running a big race in handicap company off 100 shouldn’t be beyond her. It was a below-par display in Listed company at York but she’s been dropped 2lb since and the drop in grade could also help.
Galveston (25/1, bet365) cost 2,000,000 guineas as a yearling and he managed to get off the mark at the second time of asking last term. Winning nicely over an extended 1m2f at Naas last month, the step up to 1m4f is a big plus and we haven’t seen the best of him yet.
