Arch Enemy represents the Patrick Magee yard in the concluding 1m5f handicap and she won back-to-back starts at Navan and Killarney in July. There were some more positive signs at Cork last time out so it would dangerous to rule her out, now down to a 1lb lower mark.

Smart prospect alert!

Charlie Appleby could have another good one on his hands and Bin Jahwar was a very impressive winner on debut at Newmarket. Admittedly he only had two rivals that day but the style in which he got the job done definitely caught the eye. Kicking eight-and-a-half lengths clear at the line, it would be no surprise to see him develop into a smart performer capable of contesting group races this season.

Stat of the day

Jim Goldie and Danny Tudhope have an eye-catching strike-rate of 65 per cent when combining at Ayr and they will be represented by Kelpie Grey on Friday. He looks very well treated on his best form, now down to a mark of 56, as he was last victorious off a 12lb higher marks over course and distance in 2024.
