It’s the final classic of the year, this one at Doncaster, the St Leger, live on ITV Racing. A typically competitive Saturday of racing looks in prospect and we have some outsiders who look worth a tickle when it comes to outrunning their current prices.
Chester is the other track where the ITV cameras will be stationed but there is also racing at Leopardstown, Bath, Lingfield and Musselburgh. We will have horse racing tips for all six cards.
Always a deeply competitive contest and one where eight of the last ten winners have been 12/1 or bigger. Kind Review has enjoyed a successful season, not quite able to get involved in the Gosforth Park Cup last time out in a race for the genuine five furlongs horses. He is adaptable over five and six and that can help him over this in-between trip of five and a half.
He was a little disappointing on his return in the Lonsdale but Wells Farhh Go has a far softer race to contend in here. Far from disgraced in that Group 2 behind the likes of Spanish Mission, he drops into Listed level now. That was his first race since 2019, showing enough to think that the ability remains.
A race that turned into a sprint was no help to Hasanabad here last time out but he did some good work late in the day. It was his best run since runner-up at Chelmsford over this trip last December, that coming from a six-pound higher mark than this. Ian Williams does well when teaming up with Richard Kingscote and few ride this track better than Kingscote does.
