219-1 ‘one and done’ connections stats acca for Sunday

Wincanton Racecourse

It’s a busy day for our free horse racing tips on Sunday, headlined by the Scottish National on ITV Racing. They also have an interesting card at Newbury on the show for a busy ten-race afternoon. Stratford, Wincanton, Dundalk and Tramore also race on Sunday and it’s at the minor tracks where we have been digging to find our one and done stats picks.

Two trainers and one jockey form the 219-1 acca, all three of them heading to the track with just a single runner on Sunday. They have strong records at their respective courses from a stats point of view and you can back them in one click below with bet365.

1.57 Stratford – Bet At racingtv.com Handicap Chase

Things have not really gone right for Champagne Noir since a win at Huntingdon in October. Just a pound higher here, it is interesting to see the cheekpieces that have been tried the last twice taken off given they have not had the desired effect.

Charlie Longsdon has enjoyed an excellent season at Stratford, notching up a 57% win rate with eight successes from just fourteen runners. That has produced a level stakes profit of £31.68 and he is the sole runner for the yard at the meeting on Sunday.

2.15 Wincanton – Wincanton 18 Holes Golf Handicap Hurdle

Breaking Waves is not the most consistent but he is a solid performer at his best. He bounced back to form at Uttoxeter last time when returned to hurdles, getting closest to one who looked well treated on the day. A repeat of that from just a pound higher should be enough to see him go one better.

He is partnered by Daryl Jacob who has had a superb season at Wincanton. Eight winners from twenty-one rides, a 38% win rate has seen a profit of £15.05 to a level stake and Jacob pitches up for just the one ride on this Harry Whittington-trained gelding.

2.55 Dundalk – Hollywood Bets Proudly Donates To Irish Horse Welfare Trust Handicap

A winner over course and distance last time out, Irish Ambassador looks to extend an incredible start to 2021 at Dundalk for Sarah Lynam. Ten runners at the track so far this year have resulted in six winners and a level stakes profit of £18.00.

Up four pounds for that narrow neck success is going to demand a little more of him but the third and fourth have both won since to at least give the form a strong look given the low level. These conditions are ideal for him and he is the sole runner on the card for the trainer.
