135-1 Ripon course specialists ITV racing double

The ITV Racing cameras are in three different places on Saturday. Newbury and Newmarket are accompanied on the coverage by Ripon. The Great St Wilfred is the feature race at the last named track, arguably the best race of their entire season.

Ripon is a track with a lot of undulations so it is a course where prior winning form at the course is key. We have found a 135-1 double with bet365 that ticks all the boxes for their two ITV races. The pair a combined 7/16 at this course in the past.

3.10 Ripon – William Hill Silver Trophy Handicap

Two pounds lower than when a course and distance winner back in April, Mark’s Choice arrives off the back of a wind op. That is an easy excuse for why his form has fallen away following that success and it sees him on a winnable mark. He has won four of his ten runs at this track, with the top three RPR’s of his career all coming here.

3.45 Ripon – William Hill Great St Wilfred Handicap

Winner of this race in 2020 was Staxton. He also scored here to kick off his 2021 season to bring his Ripon record to 3/6. That most recent success came from just a pound lower than he finds himself here. This race will no doubt have been the target for connections from a long way out this season so a repeat bid looks to hold strong claims.
