Hamilton racecourse up in Scotland is a long way to go from Newmarket, especially with travel expenses on the rise. Three Newmarket-based trainers are sending one runner each on Wednesday. Connections won’t want to come home empty-handed so we’ve combined these three runners into a juicy treble. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Gatwick Kitten appeared to need the run when finishing a well beaten fifth on his seasonal reappearance at Leicester last time out. The handicapper has since dropped him 1lb and that means he’s currently rated 1lb lower than his last winning mark. That certainly bodes well for his chances and he’s entitled to take a step forward here.
Dramatic Star finished third by a fair margin on his debut at Windsor in April and improved significantly on that when a narrow second at Nottingham. The winner has since boosted the form by winning well under a penalty next time and William Haggas’ three-year-old looks like the one to beat here. It’s perhaps not the deepest of maidens and the son of Sea The Stars should be winning this.
Dubai Hills got off the mark in impressive style on soft ground at Pontefract last month and a 6lb rise is more than fair on the evidence of that run. A similar performance here would surely put him bang in the mix although it has to be noted that ground conditions will be very different here. Amy Murphy’s gelding finished a fair fourth on good to firm in a valuable Newmarket sales race last term and conditions should be fine with that in mind.
