IN SUMMARY: SCHINDLER’S PRINCE is looking for a 4th win in a row and if in the same mood he could be hard to beat, and with original tip DEGOOCH (NR) now a non runner he is taken to add to that sequence. With the forecasted rain Distracted has place claims if it comes.

1 BIG SOUND – Made all when winning at Uttoxeter last month (24f, Good) and that was very solid effort. He always seems to run his race and gets on well with 7lb claimer Emma Todd who is very good value for her 7 aboard him. Career high mark today however, but has place claims at least.

2 ROUGH JUSTICE – Is well handicapped based on past efforts in Ireland, but the only reason he is so well handicapped is because he hasn’t run a good race since July 2015. Passed over easily.

3 DEGOOCH (NR)- Back over fences with a purpose when winning well at Uttoxeter (24f, Good) after a tricky race where he fought on gamely to lead on the post. Over C&D latest he ran respectably when behind a few of these, but was forced wide between the final two fences which hampered his momentum and he stayed on again on the run-in. That was his first run at that trip too and if improving for that he could be tough to beat.

4 ALLOW DALLOW – Ran a good 2nd latest at Fontwell (21f, Good), however one thing that is becoming clear is the fact his finishing effort is very poor indeed. Although placing in all runs bar one this year is respectable, you have to start wondering whether he really wants to put his head in front. If finding something on the run in he will definitely go close.

5 FOR ‘N’ AGAINST – Was a very close 2nd at Worcester latest (23f, Good), but just like a few of these, his finishing effort isn’t always convincing. Seems weighted well if finding something extra but might be vulnerable to a front runner who battles on gamely against him.

6 DISTRACTED – Career has been a bit up and down over the years, and ran respectably latest when 6th behind a few of these rivals over C&D. On a good mark by the looks of it and the forecasted rain will only be in his favour, Gethings takes off a good 5lb’s so has place claims if in the mood.

7 SCHINDLER’S PRINCE – Has won 3 on the bounce, latest when readily drawing clear over C&D a few weeks ago. Is clearly in very good heart, but you have to wonder when he will eventually be weighed down. That latest efforts shows that he certainly doesn’t plan to and that form was boosted by Ballyknock Lad, and he had a few of these held in behind. If continuing on this roll he will be very hard to beat and there hasn’t been too much rain overnight.
