Adrian Wall knows how to spot a big priced winner and is back with four tasty selections for Thursday’s racing action. The four horses could return £3,327 with William Hill at the time of posting for a £1 win unit stake on a Lucky 15.
Any News was an impressive bumper and hurdle scorer on his first two career outings last season before going down narrowly to the classy Make Me A Believer in a Cheltenham novice hurdle. Unseated rider in a Grade 2 at Kelso and was then pulled up behind Belfast Banter in an Aintree Grade 1 before running respectably in the Swinton. He could be a different animal over fences this season and although his jumping is a worry, he is a classy type.
It is easy to forgive Oscar Montel‘s recent run at Market Rasen where a jumping error cost him dear and he eventually finished sixth but his prior form gives him every chance here. He hasn’t been out of the first three in his six previous outings, the trip will be no issue and he looks sure to bounce back to form.
Ribhi scored impressively on debut over this course and distance and his sights are lowered again now after a promising run in Listed class at Doncaster last time out, not getting a clear run at a crucial stage of the race. This is much easier.
King Carney comes with risks attached but starts life for his new yard off a very tempting mark and Hollie Doyle is booked for the ride. He is a former Listed winner for Charlie Fellowes and was only beaten half a length at Newbury off a mark of 100 last year. Well treated from 8lb lower if he can recapture that form.
